How long before Ducks will lay eggs?

I'll be getting 3 khaki campbells pullets end of March along with my chickens, and just wondering will they all start to lay eggs at the same time or are ducks different?

The ducks I hatched in the spring of 08 will lay eggs in spring of 09. They usually start around March.

if hatched early in the spring/late winter they will sometimes lay by fall. most likly the next spring

My Campbell was hatched sometime in April 08. She started laying Sept. 23 08, and laid through Dec. 6. I am anxiously waiting for her to start laying again.

16 weeks, and once they start, you'd better be ready to cook duck eggs daily. They outlay my chooks 2 to 1!

A few years ago my DH's granddaughter wanted to buy some chickens so he took her to the feed store and they only had ducklings. So she bought 3, one for her and one for each brother along with waterer, feed, etc. When her mother picked them up, she had not known this was taking place and was quite upset and would not let them keep the ducks. So DH had to re-home them. We lived in town and could not keep them. Soo when I saw the threads about ducks outlaying chickens I asked DH if we could get a few ducks, just 3, he said No! I reminded him about the grandkids adventure they didn't get to partake in and he then changed his mind!! Soo the grandkids are excited we're excited and I can't wait!!!

My cayuga hatched in July laod her first egg in January! I also live where there is up to 6 ft of snow. She laid an egg 6 days out of 7 and then took one day off. She molted this spring for two months in May-June. How strange is that?

So will thee ducks lay in the coop or am I gonna have to scavenge the chicken yard lookin for eggs? Just wondering I have khaki cambells hatching today
