We have 6 hens. Two leghorns, an australorp, a BO, and two EE's. I was expecting to wait 6 months before they started to lay, but now I am reading that some people's started as soon as 4 months. Mine are all about 2-3 months old. I want to make sure I switch them off chick feed before they start. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for these breeds to start laying? Thanks!

Keep them on the grower/finisher until week 18.

4-5 months old is when they start, I would give them layer feed now. Happy waiting!
