I moved my six 12 week old chickens (all hens) to their permanent outdoor chicken tractor yesterday. I placed them two at a time in their coop. Their food and water is outside the coop in the run and they haven't left the coop yet. They have now been about 20 hours without food or water. I don't want to put the food and water in the coop. Should I force them out of their coop? They are likely a bit traumatized from the move from my garage to the outdoor chicken tractor and I don't want to add to their trauma. What is the best way to proceed?

You can bypass this with your next batch by putting them in the tractor a few hours a day so it isn't completely foreign to them out there.
Right now how they've gone straight from garage to tractor its like you dumped them on Mars.
Be patient, they're slow but once they get it they've got it for good.:)
