How long can a fertile egg last without an incubator?

My goose finally laid her first egg and I’m planning on incubating it but there is just one problem. I don’t have an incubator. I found a really good quality incubator, but it doesn’t come for two days. Will the egg last that long? I could put it under a heating light, but I’m still not sure.

I feel like an egg is an egg. I don’t have geese but I collected chicken eggs for 5 days and just put them in a carton at room temperature.

It will be fine! Turn it each day. Do you have more than one? Maybe she’ll lay another, I’d wait for other eggs so the gosling will have a buddy.....

The eggs can be kept in cold storage (about 59-60 degrees) for up to 7 days before being incubated. You will want to turn the eggs daily during the goose egg storage time.

7 days is good I say. Mother hens collect their eggs first which takes days and then they sit on them. No heat lamp, just room temp.
