I have alot of eggs building up in my fridge and there is no way i will be able to consume them all. So i was wondering how long eggs can last in the fridge before they begin to rot?

About 6 months, for eating. (Hatching is a whole different matter.) Store bought eggs are usually around a month old when you buy them. I don't think they even begin to deteriorate for a couple of month, that is, the yolks dehydrate and flatten, etc.

Of course there are several factors -- temp, whether they're washed, etc. In Europe, eggs are shipped and sold at room temp. Mother Earth News did an extensive study on this several years ago; if you're interested, it's not hard to find online.
