How long can eggs set in coop unattended and still be hatched?

Duck eggs seem to have a longer shelf life than chicken eggs. It hasn't been unusual for my ducks to lay well over 14 eggs before going broody; with all or most of the eggs hatching. With an egg a day and days when an egg isn't laid, that makes the first eggs well over two weeks old before incubation started and they still hatched.
