I have 48 eggs in an incubator and the first chick made its way out about 24 hours ago. There are probably 20 in there now and eggs that are piping. Some sources say they can stay in there for up to 48 hours. Others have said they've had them hatch at day 25. Is day 25 too long?

I open up once every 24 hr and pull them out. I mist the inside of the incubator and over the tops if the eggs, if The water level is low I add some, then put lid back on. Ive never been worried about opening the incubator as long as I mist inside after I take care of business.

No day 25 is not to long, I would take the chicks out after they're dry, usually not longer than 24 hours. If they still aren't out of the egg at day twenty-five tap them to see if they peep.
