How long can I wait before putting them in the incubator

I would just hope for the best this time, and see how it goes.

The cooler ones might hatch later than the others, or you might re-arrange them regularly so they all have exposure to all temperatures, so they develop at about the same overall rate.

Since they are shipped eggs, you are likely to have some that don't develop. When you discard those in a week or so, you can consolidate the rest into the best spots.
Exactly this - I have a Genesis with a turner in it (usually 90-95% hatch rates but some report worse). I always rotate the eggs (move them around from those in the middle to the outside if I have a full incubator, which I rarely do. One thing to point out is the turner does add some heat (they have a small motor inside, generating heat). When my turner is in the incubator (I actually take it out at day 17-18,) the heat differs a few tenths at times, so you want to be mindful of that when you remove (or turn off) the turning device.

Don't worry about opening the incubator either, some people freak out if they have to open it. I love to candle my eggs to watch progress and there have been times I've opened the incubator every single day, including a day here and there at lock-down. Never had any issues (though you do want to avoid opening if you can during lock-down).

Good luck and don't panic. Some hatches don't work out, especially if they are shipped eggs and some turn out amazingly well.

I hatched an albino button quail and just like you I researched it on internet. Soooo many negative comments until I ran across this group. I was convinced he would die within 48 hours because of all the crap I read on the internet. So I joined, posted a thread and he's a week old now. These others members are very knowledgeable and know their stuff. If this is your first hatch, I wish you the best of luck. On the other hand it is trail and error, but next time you will know what to do better. Happy hatching.
