how long can one whole hatching eggs

Ok How long or how many days can one collect they eggs before they can hatch them .

I read somewhere you can collect them a little longer than a week then the fertility starts to drop afterwards. But I've read in this forum they had hatches from refrigerated eggs and not the ones from the grocery store. Sorry, I wasn't clearer on the answer.

I've got a couple in the bator that are over 9 days old... most were laid after the 4th.
