How long can they be internally pipped?

My chick pipped internally yesterday, or some time yesterday evening. Anyway, I can still hear it, but there is no external pip yet. I'm totally freaking out after loosing all the other eggs.

No advice? I'm leaving for the night in about an hour and on one hand I'm scared to leave it alone in case it needs help. On the other it might be a good thing so I won't be obsessing over it all night.

Don't stress. It varies how long they'll be internally pipped before externally pipping. Anywhere
from 6-24 hours. Sometimes longer than that.
