HOW LONG CAN YOU KEEP EGGS>>>

I have someone who wants to buy some eggs...I'm getting 1-2 eggs a day from the requested hens...I want to send a dozen. How long can you keep eggs before they are no longer fertile? What is the best way to store them until they are ready for shipping.

What I've read (no personal experience) appears to recommend seven days with viability decreasing once past this point up to about 13-14 days. Temperature should be moderate...60F's. I'm not sure about humidity, though it seems I read somewhere about wrapping the eggs in plastic wrap to prevent moisture from evaporating from them while they're stored.

Personally, I would definitely want my eggs to be less than seven days old when placed in the incubator.
