How long can eggs sit outside and still be safe to eat? I have 4 female ducks, live in Georgia, and during the summer it gets mighty hot... sometimes they do not lay until after I leave for work and no one is around to collect the eggs until I get home. If i collect the eggs in the late afternoon even when its 95 degrees out, are they still safe to eat?

I would consider them safe. If a hen sat on them all day, it would not be much different. Food does not simply spoil at the drop of a hat.

I also collect eggs once a day, my coop gets well over a hundred degrees in the summer. Even if I miss a day, the eggs are just fine.
