How long do breeding roos last

I've been told the coturnix hens really only lay well till 8 monthes or is that for 8 monthes. How long do roos do their job well? Would a roo make it through 2 groups of layers start to finish?

Hens will lay all their lives. They don't really slow down till the end of life. Roos as well will continue to mate until they are dead. As they age, fertility can drop, but this happens well into the later years...4th or 5th year and beyond.
