I got eggs in the mail today from Buckeye Dave - wonderful packaging both inside and out.

How long do eggs need to rest before they can go into the incubator? I unwrapped each of them and placed them large end up in a carton and have them setting on the counter. The incubator is calibrated, heated and ready to go.

I was just going to ask about this. How long if they're going under a broody hen. I'll put them under her at night, so should I do it the same day as they arrive or wait until the next evening?

I let mine get to room temperature overnight (12 hours?) while my incubator also calibrated. I had read they should be at room temp (around 70 degrees) before going into incubator, especially if they were cold when I received them.
