How Long Do Eggs Stay Good For?

I have eggs and idk how old they are, they can’t be over 5 days old, how long can farm fresh eggs stay without rotting? What date can you not really eat them past?

I leave mine on the counter for a week.
My cousin did an experiment with unwashed refrigerated eggs and they were still good after 6 months.

These eggs have been left in the coop for 4 days an they are not washed or refrigerated, these are going to a freind so I don’t want them to be old and nasty, what should I do to keep them fresh?

Were the eggs brought in right away, or left under the hen? That might make a difference.

If you don’t have any broody hens, they are still good. If you have broody hens and a rooster, I would toss the eggs.

They were in the coop for 4-5 days MAXIMUM not under a hen

If you don’t have any broody hens, they are still good. If you have broody hens and a rooster, I would toss the eggs.

Ok thanks, no broody hens currently, but we do have a roosters but no hens have been sitting on them
