I was wondering long does a fertile egg last before setting in incubator.
I need to send some eggs to my dads cousin in PA and right now only 1 pair is laying everyone else kind of stopped.
I was told only 5 days and then I heard more. I will be flying them on the plane with me next week in a special made box.
and I wasnt to know how many days before I can start to collect?

anyone help please?

Thank you!!

Thank You Very much!!

I will start to collect today! that will be 9 days. Thank you again!!

I was always told at the 11th day, the egg starts to bread down..so 10 days or under.

I think the max is around 7 day's lala But...I dunno.I rarely throw out any egg if under 10 day's old will inc. and check for fertility at around day 9-12 if I have room in this crappy inc. baaaa.I hatched 9 out of 12 turkey egg's once and well they only lay an egg a day like chickens and one egg got broken so...She had hidden nest and probably would have deposited a couple more before actualy sitting them.Shipping is hard on egg's all the bouncing around so it does decrease the hatchibility.
