How long do hens continue to sit after the first chick hatches?

My hen's first chick, Winifred, hatched about twenty one hours ago. So far, she has three chicks, Winifred, Eunice, and Gus. I believe that another egg or two might be hatching and I was just wondering how much longer she'll continue to sit. I don't want anything bad happening to the unborn babies.

She may sit for another day, but could possibly get up sometime today.

It varies hen to hen and when the majority of the eggs hatch. It wouldn't be unusual for a hen to leave with her brood of chicks leaving behind a late comer still in the shell. I always watch out for that when hatching eggs with a broody hen
