How long do I leave my babies in incubator

I just had babies hatch out last night, how long do I leave the babies in the incubator?

Just until they dry off completely

I like to wait until they're nice and fluffy.....Are you eggs all done hatching?

I leave mine til the hatch is complete. They can stay in the bator for upto 3 days, they live off their yolk sac.

I am not sure if any more are going to hatch. They were suppose to hatch out Sunday but just have these two that started yesterday. I hope more will hatch out but I don't see any signs or hear any chipping. I do hope there will be more. I am new to this as you can probably tell. We have always hatched our chickens using hens and decided to get incubator for grandaughter. I notice on the last one to come out of egg he has a little blood on his hiney (for lack of better word) is this normal? Gosh I hope they do ok.

yes, blood can be normal... as long as its not profuse if blood, leave in bator.. till they all dry .... they will be fine for up to three days, the warmth is very important.

You can though if they are nice and dry, if you want too...... and their is no pips on the other eggs, open real fast and grab out and place in your heated brooder.

But if their are pips happening, then dont open that bator!!! winkity wink

Still no sign of any more pips. The oldest baby is drying real good (I am in love) the one that has blood on it is doing a little better just looks a little weaker. It looks kind of like a baby's umbilicle cord around his bottom that has been torn a bit. I hope she will be ok. How much longer should I wait before I give up on other eggs. Today is day 23. So hard not to open bator and snatch that little booger out.
