How long do I wait...now what

I have some eggs hatching now. Three are out and dry. More still in and drying. Yesterday, day 19 is when this all began. I have some eggs that pipped yesterday, and nothing. They punched a hole barely even big enough to show they were awake, you cant even see membrane or anything. So 24 hours later and nothing. I know they are alive, I checked. They are still peeping. I just dont want to interfere before it is needed and screw something up, mame them for the rest of their life or something. Why couldnt they do this when I am at work?

Any advice appreciated.

Leave them alone! We have some that have taken a couple of days before they start zipping. They will not zip until they have completely absorbed the yolk sack. So sit on your hands and let nature take it's course. Depending on your temps during incubation, some eggs can go to day 22, 23, even day 24 and beyond.

Hi! You don't need to open the incubator for at least 36 hours after chicks hatch and the chicks can go for 48 hours in the bator.

YAY Woke up this morning and two of the chicks are out and walking around! If I just go back to bed, will there be more when I wake up? LOL

I have kept myself busy all day so I wont stare into the bator, and now one of my eggs that has half pipped has an orange goo comming from it. Now what!

And another one must have pipped a vein, there is dried blood comming from the hole.

But both are alive right now, I can see beak moving.

And still I wait...
