How long do I wait to put chicks in coop ?

My chicks are 5 weeks old and are getting bigger by the day. I have 8 chicks divided into 2 separate brooding pens. They are starting to out grow them. When is it safe to put then in the coop and let them run around ?

Usually chicks are not put out in the coop until they are fully feathered unless you are having beautiful weather (we are NOT).

! Pleased to have you here! I agree with drumstick - fully feathered - 5-6 weeks and they'll be good to go. Best wishes!
