how long do i wait????

I was wondering, how long do i keep eggs in the incubator after the 21 day? i did have one completely hatch, and one that didn't make it on the 22 day. I don't want to get to anxous and take them out if there is a possibility they could still hatch. I have not heard any peeps or seen any movement, but i also did not hear or see anything out of the other 2. This is my first hatching so any advice will be gladly taken

My rule of thumb is -- unless you have candled them and know they werent' fertile to begin with, wait 3 days after the last one hatched to be sure.

Good rule. The latest I had 1 hatch was on day 27. As I was going to toss the egg, the chick peeped and broke the shell.​

That is exactly what i am scared of! i am having a hard time thinking that i might be throwing out a little chick that just wasn't ready yet.
