And how much heat? Red lamps?

I have 2 ducks about 3 weeks old. Until we finished the coop today they shared a heat lamp with 10 chicks as their brooders were together. On really cold nights the ducks had one lamo and the chicks had one lamp for extra heat. Today we moved them to the coop but another 25 chicks came in so we gave the newbies the heat lamp. Because our coop is 12x12 everyone is pretty spread out and the ducks didn't get a lamp of their own and they are across the coop from the others. Should I go buy them their own lamp? The temps tonight are supposed to be about 50.

That seems early for that age. I don't put my ducks out until they are at least 8 weeks. I would get another lamp. That said, ducks seem to be pretty invincible!

its still dipping down to freezing here at night so my babies are still inside but i took their light down this last weekend and they spend the day outside freeranging if its a decent temp

Well they made it thru last night. The coop is new and has cracks in the sides still yet so we put cardboard in one orner to block that air and hung a blanket on another side to make a tent of sorts (not that they could pull down). We have more cold nights coming.

I know there is a temp chart for chickens. Is there something similar for ducks that I can use as a guide?
