How long do you give the egg?

I have an egg that is 3 days over due. How much time should I allow it before I can say it isn't going to hatch?

I tossed mine at day 26 after I candled one last time.

I would candle it....see if there is a live chick in there. Maybe it is just delayed?? Good luck!

Well...one of the eggs started leaking nasty brown stuff.

It was bad! I did open it, and there was a chick in it. It had just died lately and rotted. I still have 2 that are over due. One is 2 days over and the other is 3 days over. They might start leaking in a couple days too. All the other eggs are hatching just find that I have in there. They have been hatching on their due dates.
