How long do you leave a bandaid splint on?

i have a chick with spraddle (sp) legs. I put a bandaid splint on a couple days ago and took it off to see how he was doing. It seems worse than before. I put another one back on. How long should I leave it before i take it off. Thanks

When I read a post/article about this, it said to leave it on til it falls off..

Hi, I wish I could keep one on my chick for more thatn 20 seconds! He gets so worked up that when I set him down he starts flopping around then falls over! I don't know what to do here! Any thoughts would sure be appreciated!
