How long do you separate a bird who is pecking from the bird that's being pecked?

Hey there! I have a pair of sebright bantams. Today I watched the hen terrorize my roo. He's got some new tail feathers growing in after a molt. I watched the two of them circle one another for a while. (Shevwas trying to get at his backside while he was trying to keep her away from his backside.) After watching her pluck out 4 or 5 feathers I grabbed a net and captured my little guy to have a look. Sure enough he was bleeding here he was pecked. The other hens in the clock pay HS bloody backside no mind so I segregated the offender. How long do I need to keep her away from him?

I do 3 days to a week.Return.Remove if it happens again.Blue kote the wounds.Good luck.
