I would like to hear y'alls opinions on when to move chicks from incubator to their brooder? I have about 10/20 eggs hatched so far and the hatched chicks are all dry and moving around alot. Some of the other ones have just started pipping. Thanks!

I have a 12 egg incubator - not roomy. As soon as the hatched chick is mostly fluffy and no longer attached to the shell, it gets moved to the brooder box, quickly.

They aren't soufle, you won't ruin the batch opening it, but more like quiche - you need to be certain and quick about it.

Myself, I move them when dry. You can also have cup water for reservoir when open or some wet sponges to put in if needed for humidity level.
