how long does 50lb food last?

I have 24 in all On grower still and I go through about 50 lb bag every 3 weeks or so what I did Is I put in on cup of feed per chick I put 2 cups of feed in the big feeder per Teen chicken that seems to make it last and if they run out they will have to wait for the next feeding but they do have scratch and table scraps they eat as well I just do that with the feed.

Hmmm - If I remember correctly on how often I seem to buy feed - I tend to buy 150lbs every 5-6weeks. Plus one 50 lb bag of scratch.
Approimately $7 per week cost wise.

I get approximately 10-12 eggs per day - (my silkie bantams don't really count - little eggs about 3x per week if they're not broody, and they're broody almost all the time soooo .... )

OK - so that is an average of 77 eggs per week. Or about 6 dozen per week. So $7 for 6 dozen eggs isn't too bad cost wise - if I could only find a farm market to sell them at ! That is a cost of just a bit over $1 per dozen for cost of goods. I tend to ask $2 per dozen. Not a bad profit margin.

anyway ....

So that is about 25lbs per week of pellets for 15 laying hens (well, 12 plus three bantams). They are a mix of breeds.
So I guess that equals out to roughly 3.5 - 4 lbs per day or about .25 lbs per bird per day.
But they do free range as often as I can - normally for about 2-3 hours per day. I also supplement with left over hard boiled eggs, kitchen goodies, scratch, and anything else I may have on hand left over that they'll eat (which is pretty much everything).

I was also thinking the same thing of how long does it last,
