how long does 50lb food last?

one week. More if you are lucky.
I had mine (16 at the time if I remember right) penned up all winter and they went thru a 40 lb feeder and a bunch of grass and table scraps each week.
I kept the feeder in the coop, so we had no thieves, but they spilled quite a lot on the floor.

I have 9 and 50 lbs lasts about 3 weeks but I also mix in some cracked corn. I should add, I dont free feed anymore. They would finish off a 25 pound feeder in 3 days if i left them. Now I take out a bucket at a time each day.

I go thru a 50lb bag a week + about 10lbs of scratch with 25 chooks in the winter. It's a bit more variable now since they forage quite a bit, and I also have chicks on the ground and stuffing their quickly growing little faces.

ETA: About 2lbs +/- per week per adult LF

I was going to say in my shed about a day if I am lucky, but yeah, those answers sound right too

Id say a week, but would last longer if you had them free ranging, grass and bugs to munch on, etc.

I go through around 1.75 lbs of feed per breeding pen per day (each breeding pen has 7 large fowl birds )..

1.75 / 7 = .25 lbs of feed per bird per day
1.75 x 15 = 3.75 lbs of feed per 15 bird per day
3.75 x 7 = 26.25 lbs of feed per 15 bird per week
26.25 x 2 = 52.50 lbs of feed per 15 bird every 2 weeks
52.50 x 2 = 105 lbs of feed per 15 bird every months

I roughly estimate 100lbs of feed per month per 12 birds(very close). This doesn't include scratch that they get on cold winter evenings before going into the coop.
