Hi, I am wondering how long feed lasts before it starts to lose nutritional value. Also I am looking to buy 2500-3500 lbs of feed and want to find it at a discount where do I do this and how? Thanks

i don't think grains lose much nutritional value...i think many are like 15 year storage if you do it right. are talking about straight grains (corn, wheat, oats, barley, etc) or chicken feed like layer pellets/crumbles?

Feed, I understand whole grain last longer and anything cracked the oils go rancid a lot quicker correct?

The vitamin mix in the feed looses value over time-- short time--- it's best to use feed within a month or so. Long term storage isn't a winning proposition for chicken feed. Storage of whole grains can be tricky too, and then making a complete feed out of it isn't that easy, or economical, unless you are talking about MANY birds in a commercial operation. Mary
