how long does it take a duckling to get out the egg?

It can take a little while. Be careful not to open the incubator or disturb the egg.

mine yesterday was 33 hrs from pip to hatched. forever

Yes, literally forever. I had some just hatch. All of them had pipped internally Friday night. I still have one that is just hanging out in the shell. After the first pip on Saturday morning (around 9 ish), the first duckling was out sometime early (very early!) Sunday morning. The one that had pipped first on Saturday morning did not hatch until yesterday evening. So like I said, forever!! I would say at least a day from shell pip to hatch, but be prepared for more. If they are out sooner, then you have a nice surprise!
