how long does it take for a chicken to lay an egg after transportation if thay are 1 year old

I sold someone 2 EE 1 yr old and one laid an egg on the way to its new home and both started laying the next day and have never quit

I bought a bantam pair on June 1.The man said they were 1 yr old.The next day she laid a pretty white egg.Thats the last time she has laid a egg.
Ive read on here i think it was,that some hens wait up to 6wks before laying again.maybe they will start laying soon.

It can take meny weeks to settle in, and if anything else happens- molt, food issues, worms, lice- they will continue w/o eggs .

Neither has mine. I did have to worm her, she was passing worms in her poo now she is molting so she will not lay anytime soon I guess.

I had one start laying right away. The other two took almost two weeks before they started.
