How Long does it take to get rid of lice In the chicken Coop??

Our Old hens that lives at my moms house have never been checked for lice and when I did today they had them so I need to strip the chicken coop down and clean it and but how long does it take for all the lice to die if the chicken don’t live in the coop?? We won’t kill the chicken but they get a temporary coop until the coop is fixed. 😊😊
 
Chickens get lice from wild birds and other chickens, and they remain on the chickens and feathers. Lice reproduce every 10 days. Permethrin concentrate mixed with water is good for treatment, and it comes in either the garden dust and in spray which is good for the chicken and the coop. Treat the chicken 2-3 times 10 days apart. If using permethrin spray it lasts about 30 days. Here is a good link to read:
