how long does it take?

Okay how long does it take for them to lay purebreed eggs again after they have been with other breeds. We are wanting to put all our purebreeds separate from the others to ensure that their eggs will be pure, how long will this cycle take...Sorry if this question sounds silly to some, but we really dont know.

Since I have roosters of different breeds in the same flock, when I want pure Rhode Island eggs with my RIR rooster and his hens I take out the other rooster and wait three weeks before collecting eggs from the RIR's. I think that the hens need about 2 weeks to clear any semen from the rooster you don't want, and then I give the rooster I DO want one week to get around to all of the girls before I collect hatching eggs.
