My three production Toulouse Geese arrive at the post office on May 23, and we are building a more permanent duck pin and house this weekend, at what age can geese chill with the ducks? And how many weeks until they are fit enough to be out of the brooder? I think we would house the geese seperate from the ducks, but during the day they could be in their pin together.
The pin will be 35' in circumfrence which would be about 11' in diameter so 97ft^2 for the area inside, this is enough for five birds?
Also, do geese need water to bathe in 24/7? They would have water to drink and wash their heads all day, but where the pin will most likely be built is out of reach from the hose... I was thinking every day they could come into our fenced in pool area and I could fill up a tub for them to swim in every day/other day.
One more question! Do geese need feed out constant? Toulouse geese in specific? Or does grass suffice?
