How long is it supposed to take to grow back lost feathers?

I had my pullets and cockerels living together for too long, because I was delayed in completing the separate coop for my boys. Meanwhile, my hens lost some feathers on their backs and heads from over mating. The roosters have been living separately for about two months now. I do see some new feather shafts and small feathers forming on the hens bald areas. But the feathers are still not grown back. I don't see any other signs of mites (combs look nice and pink, egg production is pretty good considering many have been broody, they're all eager to return to the coop at night). I do see some occasional scratching of the bald areas. Is this normal for it to take this long for feathers to return? Is there anything I can do to assist them in regrowing their feathers? And should I be concerned about a secondary issue, such as mites?

It takes awhile. The pinfeathers are a good sign. Giving them a little extra protein might help boost feather growth. I give my girls scrambled eggs and black oil sunflower seeds for a snack while they're molting. Also, pinfeathers can be irritating as they come through the surface of their skin, which could explain the scratching.
