How long is mating season?

We are going to be getting some Welsh Harlequin ducks next spring or possibly this fall. I’m not sure how long their mating season lasts?

Well where I live, we get all four seasons. Our winters can be around -5F at the lowest and then in summer it can get up to 100F. It’s quite dramatic. I live in Washington.

Here in Wisconsin ducks breeding season is generally April to October. You are a bit warmer, so perhaps your season will be a bit longer.

Would you get duck eggs year round though? Or does that end with mating season?

Ducks generally just laying during the breeding season. I'm not sure about the newer hybrid layers.
