How Long Is Too Long??

I have eggs that are on day 24.(I saved these eggs then put them under a hen 24 days ago)
I candled them today and there are FOR SURE live chicks in 5 eggs. The mother hen bailed on the nest this morning and another took over... Shouldnt they be hatching by now?
I really want these babies!

It is a good idea to wait 3 days past the due date from the stories I've read here on BYC.
Oh I just reread your post. You have babies. Yes, they will hopefully hatch for you soon! Give them more time IMO.

I GOT A BABY!!!!! I just went out, lifted up the hen and saw a half dry baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I figured Id leave things alone for today and check what she has later. BUT ITS AN ALIVE FULLY HATCHED CHICK!

Ive been trying to hatch a clutch of these tiny eggs for months! FINALLY!

Ill post a picture of the hen that layed the eggs too, maybe someone can identify her breed
