How long on the lights

I live in California I have three new chicks they are americanus how long should I keep them on heat lamps They are five weeks old and the temperature here is in the high 40s mid 50s at night and 70s and 80s during the day. I have been turning it off occasionally during the day and back on at night just wonder how much longer before I can put them in their pen. If you can help that would be great.

I wean my chicks off heat by week four, move to coop at week 5. Mine were fine w lows in the 30's, even a freeze before 6 weeks.

If you have them inside, they should have been off heat already. I raised mine in the coop brooder with the MHP, at 4 weeks they were off heat. Temps were upper 20's at night and upper 40's during the day. Get them out there.
