Hi everyone! My pea chicks are 15 weeks and 6 weeks. I've been giving reg water and the Sav a chick electrolyte and probiotic water since I got them. I have noticed that they seem to drink that before they drink the reg water. I'm wondering if they should continue to have this or if I should be weaning them off of it?

ok. they are on the medicated feed. so do you mean until they are off of that? Or until after I do the all in one?

There isn't enough amprolium in medicated starter feed to make any difference in peafowl. If medicated feed worked why would we need any other treatments for cocci?
For that reason, I listen to my vet that recommends stating cocci treatments in peachicks at four weeks and continue every two weeks. But giving vitamin B will retard the thiamin blocker. Check the ingredients and make sure it doesn't have B in it so you can continue its use if you want. I think V & E are great for new chicks, I use it, I just don't while giving an anti-cocci treatment.

Ok. thank you. My vet here said he doesn't deal with birds. the next closest one is 2 hours away :( So I kinda rely on this pg, google and FB. lol

I did too until I found a local vet who does all kinds of farm animals and the testing for the local county fair. She loves the distraction of my peafowl from the daily dog, cat, sheep, goats, cows, and horses.
