How long should i keep my new chickens in coop?

I just brought my new chickens home they are standard cochins how long do i need to keep them in my coop before i can let them out to roam the yard,my other chickens are already going out around 10am and come in when it starts to get dark,oh yeah how do i introducem to my older flock?Thanks new guy.

Sounds like you did not quarantine them. That being the case, they need to be in a separate area in the same coop for two or three weeks, where they can see and hear each other, before you try to integrate them.

i guess i will learn to ask questions next time before i do something stupid thank you for the help at least i didnt just throw them together so they would kill eachother/although i might have doomed them anyways wow what an idiot i am.
