How long should I leave un-hatched eggs under broody?

Broody hatched out only 3-4 chicks on Sunday or Monday. Looks like she still has a lot of eggs under her. How long should I wait for these other eggs to hatch before I dump? I did not notice she was broody, so it took me a few days before I closed off her and the nest from the other hens. She is a really big mean cochin when she is broody, so I do not like messing with her and her eggs. Is there any way to tell if the eggs will hatch? How long should I wait?

Is she still laying on them? If she's still laying on them, I'd wait until nighttime, and getcha one and candle it...

I will try to candle tonight. She is really mean, I will need to get my armor ready.

I have the same issue with my EE girlie. However, I thought if you candled late at the end stage you won't see anything except a dark egg? How will candling help?
