How long should I quarantine my new hens for?

I'm getting some new quail hens today to introduce to my rooster, I have a separate pen all ready for them. I've heard it's good to quarantine new adult birds before introducing them to the flock, but i'm not sure how long. Would the time be different for quails vs chickens? Let me know what you guys think!

I think it would be the same. Quarantine for 30 days - making sure they are healthy throughout this time!

30 days?!! Jeez I thought it would be 2 weeks tops!!!! My poor rooster is all alone, I wanted him to get some friends sooner . Would the quails be a danger to my chickens? They live pretty close by but don't interact.

Quail and chickens can have some disease contraindications.
Not sure exactly what they are tho.

Pretty hard to do a full and true bio quarantine....but...here's how:
