I had my incubator plugged in and temperature stabilized before adding the eggs. I have never done more than a dozen at a time, and temp stabilized within a couple hours. I added about 3 dozen this time, so wondering how long it should take to stabilize. I am sure it is better for the eggs to warm gradually, so I am not in any hurry. I just want to be certain everything is going along swimmingly. :)

It depends on the kind of incubator.
I have a Little Giant that takes a couple days to stabilize and a big cabinet that stabilizes in about 15 minutes even with 100 eggs in it.
The LG has a 40 watt heat element and a pretty fickle controller.
My cabinet has two 125 watt heaters and the hatcher has a 225 watt heat element. All controlled by two STC 1000 temperature controllers.

I just put in 34 room temperature eggs into my pre warmed hovabator and all three thermometers that I have in there said 99.5 in about an hour and a half. I guess it will depend on the type of incubator that you are using.
