how long should you wait to fee a baby bird after it hatches (all birds)

im wondering how much of there yolk sac they need to eat im curiouse about all birds chickens ducks quail rhea emo ostritches pheasants etc

I bought by chicks at two days old and they were already eating feed and drinking water.
