How long till Coturnix Quail will be adjusted in a new enviroment?

Hello!

I have 2 different local places selling quail. One seller is offering 1 week olds for $3 per. Another is offering 4 month olds for $5. I like the 4 months old, looks to be a better price. I was wondering though if it would take more than a month for them to start laying again after being moved. I would put them on 24% protein feed, and 14-16 hours of artificial light.

With mine they were all laying within a week. They didn't seem to be affected that much.

Good! I was afraid because I read that quail take a while to adjust.
