How long till eggs hatch?

We had a bobcat kill 11 of our chickens this past weekend. But I have a hen that loves to sit on eggs. My question is how long till the eggs hatch if I let her sit on them? And anything special I need to do for her during this period?

Hello! Chicken eggs take 21 days to hatch. If your hen is broody, then maybe you can put her in a nice quiet spot with food and water where she won't be disturbed by other chickens or a predator.

Broodiness is kind of a hormonal thing with hens....if your hen is really obsessed with setting on a nest, and she kind of comes out maybe just once a day to scurry around, eat, drink and poo, then runs back to the nest, you've got a broody hen.

I'm sorry about the bobcat, and I hope your hen hatches those eggs for you.
