My experience is you don't want to have baby chickens and waterfowl together. The geese or ducks like to play and get wet and the baby chickens can get sick and cold being wet all the time.
Also baby geese are very...pecky for a lack of a better word. They will peck and pull on everything they can get their little bills on. They do great with other goslings, but they can harm how a little chickens or ducks feathers grow in(I know this from lack of judgment on my part). This leaves the chicken or duck with very patchy feathering until their first molt, which can make them get cold chills or be pecked by others.
I really hope you have at least one more gosling hatch I will keep my fingers crossed
Of course you could(I have done this in an emergency) put chicken(s) and the gosling in the same brooder, but put a plexi glass or glass divider between them. this way they can see each other and not feel lonely, but the gosling can't get the chicken(s) wet of pull on their new growing feathers.
Right now I have 2 geese eggs incubating. I put them in 1/28/09 and they both have heart-beats
They will be 1/2 Embden - 1/2 Toulouse.
Good luck and keep us posted
