How long to age the turkey before cooking?

I am trying to figure out exactly when to process our turkey so that it can rest in the fridge long enough before cooking? Hubby hunts so can process it, but he's used to freezing everything, not cooking it fresh.

We will process ours either on Sat or Sun for Thanksgiving.

I agree Brining for 2 days and rest the remaining would be just great.

I butchered mine yesterday, sure hope they will be ok still at Thanksgiving....
