how long to be sure which roo "did it"??

i plan on keeping two roos this spring, and i was just wondering to myself, how long will i have to keep a roo seperate with his ladies to be sure that i will get purebred eggs? thanks!

I heard that a mating is good for three weeks, so I am thinking a month? Would love to know the real answer myself.

A hen can hold sperm from a male for 3 weeks. So go for 1 month to be certain.
