How long to feed medicated chick starter?

I was reading today somewhere.....somewhere.....that you shouldnt feed your chicks medicated chick starter after 8 weeks. If you can't get non-medicated chick starter, what should you feed them between then and when they start laying?

It depends on the type of starter you get. The bag should tell you how long you can feed it for. The type I get is a starter/grower which goes from day one till week 16-20. However, the feed I give is only medicated with amprolum which has no withdrawl time.

The feed I got from Seminole said starter/grower; Ill have to find a bag and see what it says.
